Naturally Filipinos are hospital and generous nation and also love to eat. Food and diet is much important in their social life. If we try to understand the eating schedule of Filipinos, they use to eat three meals per day and snacks at two times between the day meals. It is common with Filipinos that they rise early in the morning and start the day activities early. That’s why some of Filipinos are in habit of eating second breakfast or mid afternoon snacks at 10:30 in the morning. Poor families of Philippines eat rice, fish, vegetables and other starchy diet. However at fiesta time all families love to enjoy meat. Like many other nations, Filipinos like to offer extra food to servants, hungry people and helpers.
Filipinos don’t serve the food in the form of course. Soup, meat, vegetables and other food items are randomly included in their diet. Fork in one hand and spoon in other hand is used to eat food. On the other hand knives are rarely used when they eat. Rural Filipinos use to eat with their hands. Kamayan-style dish is famous in Philippines that is prepared in restaurants. Sauces, flavors and other spices are frequently used to create good taste of food by professional cooks in Philipines. Filipinos remain strict in eating in time meals of the day. They offer the guests food and drink to entertain them. Filipinos are also very respectful to food and don’t like to reject it if not like but eat little amount of food and keep aside.
