India Eating Habits

Hindu religion is main factor to influence the food and eating habits of Indians. Many people in India eat vegetables for ethical and religious reasons. They use to eat cast range of vegetables like available in different seasons. Timing of eating meals by Indians is almost same as other Asian countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and others. Their breakfast time starts from early morning and ends up to 11-12’o clock. They use to eat bread, fruits, juices, tea and milk on personal choices. Lunch is the second big meals of Indians and they eat this meal together. Family system is trendy in India and three time meals are eaten with family members. Indians are also very generous for their guests and attend them in best way. Attending the guests in best way is considered the matter of their honor and respect.
Many casts in India don’t eat beef because they worship cow according to their religious teachings. Indian cuisines keep changing according to geographical areas of India. They are vey conscious about health eating and prefer to eat healthy diet. They consider that eating pork can cause several diseases so they don’t eat pork too.
Sweets and sweet dishes are much popular in all provinces of India. They are prepared with highly fatty ingredients like butter, desi ghee, sugar and sugar ghee and cooking oils. Lots of fruits and dry fruits are also added while preparing delicious sweets. Indians use to prepare traditional foods and dishes. In many areas of India like Rajhistan, Punjab and Utterperdesh side dishes are widely prepared to serve with main meals like achars and sauces. Generally all types of food are included in the diet of Indians like vegetables, fruits, grain products, meats, eggs, fish and dairy products. Indians are also influenced by modern trends of eating and food. For example they go to restaurants for eating latest food dishes and junk foods. Trends of foods are keep changing according to different areas and customs of Indian culture.
